I thought I'd get a new hobby this year. While I've always been fascinated with psychics and all things related, I was always freaked out by the scary illustrations on traditional tarot cards… but oddly attracted. Then one day my uber analytical, sometimes-skeptic (but secretly loves visiting psychics), Nora and I were at Barnes and Noble, when I came across "The Crystal Tarot", a pretty, purple box with story-book illustrations…
"Oooh pretty! Do you think I should get it?" -Me.
"Um, I think it looks kind of immature, and like silly looking, and a waste of money." -Nora.
But, I bought it. And I'm having so much fun with it! It's one of those hobbies people think is really weird, (like puppetry or magic) but I assure you it's not all turbans and crystal balls. (Although a turban would be fabulous)
I've found a few great resources online, and have been learning the meanings of the cards and spreads, and more importantly, learning to sharpen my intuition.
My favorite tarot blog is Daily Tarot Girl Kate's weekly spreads and insights are easy to understand, and she always responds to questions and comments. Check her out!
